If you’ve just got tickets for Oasis at Knebworth, congratulations. You’re one of the lucky ones. Now for the practical bit, because the next few days are when everything else around the concerts starts to go.
1. Sort where you’re staying, this week
There are around 500 hotel rooms within three miles of Knebworth Park, and roughly 125,000 people going each night. Local rooms will go quickly now tickets are out. Your options are a hotel in Stevenage or a nearby town, travelling from London, or staying right by the park. Our Oasis Knebworth accommodation guide covers them all.
The Pop-Up Camp is roughly 200m from the edge of the Knebworth estate, with three-night weekends, Friday to Monday, around each pair of shows:
- Weekend 1: Friday 10 to Monday 13 September (shows on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12)
- Weekend 2: Friday 17 to Monday 20 September (shows on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19)
- Weekend 3: Friday 24 to Monday 27 September (shows on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26)
Tents are ready when you arrive, and there’s a bar, food and live music on site.
2. Plan how you’re getting there
The promoters are advising fans not to drive. Trains run to Stevenage, just over 20 minutes from King’s Cross on the fast services, and coaches run from more than 120 locations around the UK. Our guide to getting to Knebworth has the detail.
3. Plan how you’re getting home
This is the part people leave until last. Late trains run from Stevenage to King’s Cross after every show, 11.30pm to 1.30am, at £10 one way, and there’s a stewarded, lit walking route from the park to the station. Allow time to clear the park with everyone else.
4. Think about the whole weekend
The show is one night. The weekend doesn’t have to be. Arriving the day before means no rush, no traffic on show day, and a proper warm-up. Staying the night after means no midnight dash for a train.
