On 10 and 11 August 1996, Oasis played to around 125,000 people a night at Knebworth Park. According to the BBC, 2.5 million people applied for tickets, more than 4% of the UK population at the time. For a lot of people it’s still the biggest gig of their lives. In September 2027 the band go back, for six nights.

- Tickets sold to registered fans only, in timed windows from 25 to 27 September 2026, with no general sale
- Late trains to London after every show, and coaches from more than 120 UK locations
What’s different this time
Three times as many nights, which means three times as many people looking for somewhere to stay in a corner of Hertfordshire with only a few hundred hotel rooms. The travel plan is also far more organised than in 1996, with late trains and a stewarded walking route, and the promoters advising people not to drive.
What hasn’t changed is the feeling. If you were there in ’96, this is round two. If you weren’t, this is your chance.
Make a weekend of it
