First things first: Glastonbury Festival isn’t in Glastonbury. It’s at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset, a few miles from Shepton Mallet. There’s no station on site, so you’re arriving by train and shuttle, by coach or by car. Here’s how each one works.

By train

The nearest station is Castle Cary, served by Great Western Railway. In recent years a free shuttle bus has run from Castle Cary to the festival, dropping you outside Pedestrian Gate A, from Wednesday to Monday while the trains are running. The 2027 timings will be confirmed nearer the time.

Book your train tickets early and pack light. It’s a walk from the drop-off to the camping fields.

By coach

The festival sells official coach and ticket packages from towns and cities across the UK. For 2027 these go on sale at 6pm (BST) on Thursday 1 October 2026, ahead of general admission. More in our Glastonbury 2027 tickets guide.

By car

The festival has said more on coaches, campervans, parking and accommodation for 2027 is coming soon. If you’re driving, check the official website for parking before you set off, and expect busy roads around Pilton at the start and end of the festival.

Staying at The Pop-Up Camp? Every booking includes a parking pass, and our minibus shuttles run day and night between the camp and close to the festival entrance, so once you’re parked up you can forget about the car until Monday.

Getting home

Sunday night and Monday morning are when everyone tries to leave at once. If you can, stay put until Monday, pack up at your own pace and let the queues do their thing without you.

We’re at Glastonbury 2027 too. The Pop-Up Camp Glastonbury sits on a plateau looking out over the Somerset countryside, with our own shuttles to the festival day and night, food and drink around the clock, and hot showers and proper loos. Pitch your own, bring the van or go furnished bell tent. You’ll need a festival ticket to stay with us. Book your spot!

Once you know how you’re getting there, check out Glastonbury 2027 tickets, Glastonbury camping, what to pack for Glastonbury and where to stay for Glastonbury.

The Pop-Up Camp is independent and not affiliated with Glastonbury Festival. Ticket and travel details from official festival and rail announcements, checked 27 September 2026. Always check the official festival website before you travel.
